Cannes-Mandelieu Airport is not only a business aviation airport and base for aviation resources for Civil Security but also a pilot training centre.

These little known activities are well worth discovering, especially for those who live close to the Airport.

This is why in 2006 the airport is once again running its “Discovery days” focusing on two key themes:

1/ Aviation jobs
2/ Environmental commitment
The hub’s residents, schoolchildren and enterprise clubs are invited to these days.

Reception of small groups by appointment (10 people approximately):

- Wednesday afternoon for schoolchildren
- Friday afternoon for adults

Visit program:

- Welcome to the Residents’ Area at Cannes-Mandelieu Airport
- Themed presentation
- Charter and actions for the environment
- Tour of the hub and presentation of the jobs
- Return to the Residents’ Area
- Questions/answers and handing out of documentation.

Flight Simulator

Between May and December 2004 the hub welcomed almost 150 visitors including schoolchildren from the surrounding areas (schools, outdoor centres, colleges, high schools, etc.) and adults (residents, companies…) The initiative continues this year.
