Consultative Commission on the Environment and working groups |
|
The Cannes-Mandelieu Airport Consultative Commission on the Environment which meets annually is made up of three joint groups: aviation professionals, local authorities (Town hall, Departmental Council, Regional Council) and associations, totalling around forty members.
This commission is consulted on all important questions relating to the development or operation of the airport, likely to have a positive or negative impact on the hub's environment.
A permanent committee, which is a product of the Consultative Commission on the Environment has also been created. Smaller in composition (around fifteen members representing the three groups), its purpose is to deliberate quickly on matters which are submitted to it by the Sous-Préfet, president of the Commission, in particular because of their urgency.
